Job Description:

Office Allies LLC is looking for independent contract Team Members to provide QuickBooks Online Bookkeeping support to our clients while working remotely. Office Allies is a full-service administrative support company who serves as the office manager / executive assistant for roughly 35 different clients. We work with solo-preneurs and micro-sized business owners to help the owner focus on growing their business.

As a Virtual Bookkeeper, the right candidate will perform various bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliating monthly bank and credit card accounts, create credit memo, invoices, and purchase orders, monitor payroll, and process bills and schedule payments and other tasks as needed. For this role, a strong Internet connection is required, along with experience using communication tools like Slacks/MS Teams. Attention to detail and the ability to switch between projects quickly are a must. Some incoming or outgoing telephone calls might be required on occasion.

Ultimately, you need to be able to work independently with minimum supervision. This is a part-time position at an average 20-hours per week (after training), with more opportunity for hours to increase quickly. Responsibilities:
Must be knowledgeable regarding:
• Strong basic accounting knowledge
• Customers/Clients/Vendor
• Bank Reconciliation
• Credit Memos
• Purchase Orders
• Payroll
• Bills/Expenses
• Invoices/Sales Receipts/Payment
• Recurring Transactions
• Cash and Accrual accounting methods
Must be able to trouble shoot and research duplicate transitions to balance accounts.
Address client’s bookkeeping questions and training when possible
Provide customer service as first point of contact.

Requirements and desired skills:
• Associate degree or more in Accounting/Bookkeeping
• QuickBooks Online certification
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or relevant role
• Excellent phone, email, and instant messaging communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to details and ability to switch between project smoothly with little time loss
• Solid organization skills
