Job Description:

The Geospatial Information System (GIS) Engineer will be joining our team in supporting the Veterans Administration.

Position Responsibilities: Provide software installation, configuration, management, and maintenance across ESRI ArcGIS Indoors and ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoConvergence Reserve Asist, and Microsoft PowerAutomate Perform the software installations and or updates Collaborate with customer to document any software maintenance that requires documentation Activate the floor plan editor within ArcGIS Enterprise and Indoors software Provide short tutorial sessions via Microsoft Teams of how to utilize the floor plan editor Configure the ESRI ArcGIS Indoors and ARCGIS Enterprise software to provide space management Collaborate with stakeholders to apply conference room management Collaborate to identify, manage and apply Shared Workspace Management Apply space categorization to all spaces Curate and maintain a historical CAD database that will be updated to reflect the status of the floors Update existing floor plans Utilize the provided as-built drawings computer-aided design (CAD) or Building Information Modeling (BIM) files update as needed Conduct configuration changes as needed and apply software updates/patches from original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to resolve issues Provide new floor plans Work collaboratively across the team and with the customer Support all project reporting requirements

Requirements:
Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Indoors and ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoConvergence Reserve Asist, and Microsoft PowerAutomate Proficiency in math skills, map creation, data entry, and spatial analysis Experience with Geospatial analysis, map projections, and spatial statistics Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for geospatial application development and automation Strong understanding of geodatabase design, spatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, geodatabases), and coordinate systems Proven ability to perform advanced spatial analyses, spatial modeling, and geostatistical analysis to extract meaningful insights from geospatial data Ability to convey complex GIS concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Customer-centric delivery and service skills Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree - Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required 5 years of experience American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) [desired] GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) offer professional certification [desired] ESRI technical certification [desired] Experience working in VA [desired] The ability to obtain a Government clearance [required] This position requires to be onsite as needed in Washington, DC - Travel 10%
