Established from part of the Caterpillar mining group, CB Mining has grown from 2 locations in Washington, PA to now 4 locations, with additions in Marion, IL and Tuscaloosa, AL, We provide customers with rebuild services, CST gearbox rebuilds, welding and fabrications services, service exchange units, custom made cabling solutions, life cycle services including oil sampling and vibration analysis, robust inventory support, compatibility services and underground technical support. Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Familiar with all Electronic Test equipment. Expert in all aspects of soldering and de-soldering Computer skills required: Understanding of SAP, Mircorsoft word, excel, and Powerpoint Ability to communicate effectively and write technical work & repair procedures, as well as troubleshooting guides Desired Skills:
Project Management Warehouse Management Underground Experience Primary Responsibilities:
Primary functions of Electronic Technician include but are not limited to the following:
Troubleshoot and repair a variety of multi-purpose electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems for underground Mining equipment. Studies the inter-relation of the various controlling circuits and plans tests for the individual control circuits and components. Conducts a series of involved functional and operational tests on components. When completing repairs, in order to properly align and tune highly sensitive inter-related circuits and electro-mechanical systems, the Electronic Technician must process the repaired component through necessary cycles to check electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems and make critical adjustments in the values and settings of the components throughout the testing cycle. Analyzes results of the tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction. Replaces, or directs the replacement of faulty parts and/or wiring of the unit and retests the system or systems as necessary. Installs electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment of the complexity described above. Modifies existing electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems or combinations of systems to incorporate latest designs and/or to include new functions within the control of the system; establishes arrangement and location of components to eliminate electronic interference, and provide for ease of the repair.
