Job Description:
Duties
• Works across Risk Management Supervision (RMS) to develop, implement, and monitor progress of goals and objectives related to the corporate strategic plans. Facilitates establishing and updating the Division's strategic plan, including developing the planning framework and reviewing mission and functional statements. Provides input and recommendations regarding priorities and goals for short- and long-term accomplishments. Monitors the progress on goals and objectives and develops reports to evaluate performance of goals and results. Directs and reviews development and execution of project plans to support strategic initiatives.
• Aligns strategic planning efforts with FDIC strategy, strategic plans, performance goals, and RMS performance goals. Develops, tracks, assesses, and reports progress in achieving the Corporate and divisional performance goals and objectives. Analyzes current and projected workload assumptions within the Division to evaluate appropriate staffing and workforce levels. Creates and presents reports on performance milestones and accomplishments and develops other coordinated performance reporting.
• Serves as advisor to the Associate Director on matters related to strategic and annual planning, performance goals, workforce planning, budgeting, continuity/contingency planning, contracting, financial management, and process improvement.
• In collaboration with the Administration Chief and the Recruiting & Entry-Level Examiner Hiring Chief, develops and maintains the Division's Human Capital Strategy, which provides a holistic human capital plan from recruiting through retention. Develops processes, procedures, and tools that assist in hiring and retaining staff and the understanding of staff movement to other positions to devise strategies and tools to assist in workforce planning.
• Supervises the reconciliation of core staffing reports and evaluates whether the Division's staffing levels and resources are adequate to address the Division's workload. Develops, refines, and employs approved staff modeling and other evaluation tools to forecast needed staff levels, evaluates workforce diversity, and assesses operational efficiencies.
• Oversees the Division's budget and financial reporting, including its annual formulation and implementation. Works with executive and senior managers to identify new initiatives, priorities, projects, or on-going work that will need funding for the upcoming year. Evaluates alignment of budget and strategic plan/initiatives.
• Coordinates the formulation of the annual workload projections. Reviews budget staffing requests with workforce analytics, using established staffing models. Explores the need for adjustments to established models or new models as appropriate.
• Monitors budget performance and reports to senior management. Directs the development of routine and ad hoc reports for budget summaries, resource planning and projections, and other special studies involving resource and funding requirements.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management authority and performs the full range of performance management duties to include: planning, assigning, and reviewing work products of subordinates; establishing guidelines and performance expectations; and evaluating work performance and providing feedback to others on their performance. Identifies training and developmental needs for staff and provides regular recognition of staff. Works in collaboration with the appropriate Human Resources and Legal staff to administer disciplinary action. Hears and resolves disputes as appropriate. Approves/ disapproves requests for leave, telework, travel, training, etc.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the leadership and technical experiences listed below. These qualifications would typically be gained through serving in roles that require managing projects/teams or guiding the technical work of others.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Technical Experience: Experience in managing programs at an agency-wide level including strategic planning, setting goals and objectives, obtaining and allocating resources, managing costs, delegating assignments, providing guidance, evaluating performance, and managing workflow.
