Job Description:

TRISTAR is seeking a Program Manager for our government customer in Crane, INWe are looking for an experienced Program Manager to manage a TRISTAR Team and subcontractors in support of Navy programsThe ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance to achieve performance metrics and customer requirements defined in the contractEffective in communications with NSWC Crane management, and senior management of TRISTAR and subcontract partnersKnowledge of effective management strategiesAbility to interface with Project Control Analyst staff to provide the customer with accurate cost and schedule performance information
Position Responsibilities Responsible for managing DoD contract and personnelServe as the primary point of contact for the Government on all items relating to contract administrationCollaborate with the customer to build expert consensus regarding areas requiring process improvement and recommended solutions for identified areas requiring improvement.Develop innovative approaches for managing continuous stream of work with the ability to handle changing priorities and implement innovative ideas to improve customer program operations in terms of cost, quality, efficiency and/or overall performanceDevelop a performance measurements framework and facilitate a feedback system focused on customer service, communication, and technical skillsDevelop information for decision briefs for senior leadership to use in making decisions on recommended solutions and areas requiring process improvement within the program, process, and executionEstablish strong relationships with key government stakeholders and create convergence by demonstrating credibility, empathy and expertise on business and technical issuesDevelop workload schedules and projections to monitor statusCoordinates with all corporate departments for support as need to meet contract requirementsAttends In-Progress Review meetings as requiredAbility to work in coordination with Contracts department to address and resolve any issues on contractGenerate and Monitor workload schedules on projectsReports periodically or as required by the contract) funding status, including projected expenditure ratesRequirementsExperience as PM or Deputy PM with Navy ContractsExperience performing supervisory functions such as time approvals for charging; expense reports, and travel plans, employee performance coaching and feedback, salary administration, and staffing functionsAbility to prepare and conduct presentations of a technical natureAbility to work independently and collaborativelyMust be able manage a diverse team of technical and development personnel, management, business customers, and vendors in a constructive and effective mannerProject and workflow management skillsExcellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management softwareOutstanding leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication skillsExcellent problem-solving abilityMUST be a US CitizenMust possess active DoD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Previous experience working as a DoD contractorPrevious experience and expertise managing Engineering, HR, Logistics or Facilities contracts PMP Certification Education and/or CertificationBS/BA in management or a relevant fieldAbout TRISTAR
