Job Description:

TRISTAR is seeking a Computer Engineer III for our upcoming government customer in Crane, INThe Computer Engineer III will Work with program offices and OEM's to sustain SPY-1 multi-mission signal processors (MMSP)Position Responsibilities:Provide engineering support in the areas of power supply test set maintenance and development, power supply system/subsystem design, development, reverse engineering, and test developmentProvide limited guidance of tasking performed by junior level engineersWork alongside technicians in the troubleshooting and repair of electronics and electronic sub-assemblies to include power supplies and power sub-systemsTrack and monitor obsolescence and DMS issues with MMSP components and sub-systemsTravel to waterfront and OEM installations to observe installation of cabinets and support equipmentWork with OEM and program office to gain a better understanding of test procedures and test setsInterface with the waterfront personnel, ISEA, and program officeWillingness to travel up to 25%RequirementsFamiliarity with Multi-Mission signal processor strongly preferred but not requiredElectrical engineering skills related to troubleshooting, creating and following interconnect diagrams, understanding schematic diagramsAbility to create and follow test plans and procedures.Strong communication skillsPresentation development for communicating technical progress and issuesWillingness to travel up to 25%Must be a US CitizenAn Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain oneEducation and Certification:BS in Computer EngineeringAbout TRISTAR
