Job Description:

TRISTAR is seeking a Cloud Architect for our upcoming government customer in MacDill AFB, FLThe Cloud Architect will support PEO SDA, USSOCOM Components, TSOCs, and others to include Foreign Military Sales (FMS) as mission dictates, by providing technical and analytical mission planning, execution, and post-mission system supportMission planning is critical to special operations, the mission planning, execution, post-mission system/device will be maintained in a serviceable status to support combat/contingency operationsThe overall goal will be to achieve a system/device availability of 95% and a maintenance turnaround time of less than 24 hours from the time of notification within Continental United States (CONUS) and manned Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locationsSupport will be characterized by two (2) levels: Level I (Critical/Urgent) support will be defined as critical or emergency support to the mission planning and execution system/deviceThis level of support will be completed within 72 hours or as mission requirements dictateLevel II (Routine) support will be defined as cyclical support to the mission planning and execution system/deviceThis level of support will be completed within 30 days or as mission requirements dictatePosition ResponsibilitiesThe cloud architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud computing solutionsThe Cloud Architect facilitates the development of the right future-state architecture and ensure its effective adoptionProvide overall direction, guidance and definition of architecture programs that effectively supports government operationsResponsibilities include advocacy and support of the enterprise's IT strategies, identification, and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context, analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, and the development of strategies aligning IT to businessDesigning the cloud infrastructure, designing the cloud application architecture, and designing the cloud security architectureMaintain systems and network infrastructureProvide end user and common device supportProvide configuration, change, license, and asset managementConduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) servicesThe responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the world 24 x 7 x 365RequirementsExperience with cloud computing, including the various cloud deployment models, cloud service models, and cloud deployment architecturePrevious experience supporting an enterprise IT environment for a DoD COCOM or similar level organizationPrior experience supporting cloud migration efforts requiredMUST be a US CitizenAn ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility is requiredEducation and/or CertificationBachelor of Science with 10-12 Years experience, or Master of Science with 8-10 years experience, or PhD with 5 years experience in a related field is requiredDoD IAT Level II certification requiredAWS or AZURE or Google cloud certifications - i.e. AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer or higher requiredAbout TRISTAR
